WEEK REVIEW
MONDAY 26th TO TUESDAY 27th
MONDAY
Before leaving I went to see my chiropractor, who specialises in NIS, Neural integration system. Basically, he checks if the neural pathways from your body to your brain are functioning correctly. Really interesting stuff.
Arrived at 10:30 at Stoneham, had a one hour putting session focused on speed drills, hole out drills and green reading drills. The main reason is to quickly to adapt to the speed of the greens.
At 12:00 I completed my 25-minute body activation warm up consisting of glute bridges, banded squats, T-spine rotations and using the pulse roll massage gun.
At 12:30 went to the range, such a great practice facility. Went through all the clubs in the bag, hitting to different targets on the range. Finished with short game and bunker work getting a good feel of the greens and sand.
Played 13 holes in the practice round because it was such a slow practice round which is very typical at some pro events. After I confirmed my game plan in my yardage book.
TUESDAY
Arrived at 08:50, got ready, onto the putting green for 09:00, repeated my warmup session from Monday, including my body activation exercises. Hit balls for 45 minutes on the range focusing on hitting to different targets.
Teed off at 10:40, I played with David Wicks and Ronnie Young, an amateur. The pins for today were fair, it was windy at times, sometimes gusting up to 15-20 mph and the greens were fast, so you couldn’t leave the ball above the hole.
I shot 69, -3 total and finished tied 10th. My stats for the round were:
Fairways hit: 61.5%
Greens in regulation: 83.3%
Scrambling: 63.7%
Bunker saves: N/A
Putts: 30
These stats are PGA tour standard, which means I am good enough for tour! This is important for me to see and consistently remind myself of.

TOURNAMENT SUMMARY
Very happy with the event, my preparation was good, executed most of my shots to my game plan. I stayed patient despite not holing many putts on the front 9, but then holed some long putts on the back 9 leading to a top 10 finish.
Look forward to seeing you soon
